چکیده
Anticancer drugs are a group of therapeutic agents used to enhance cell death in targeted types neoplasia. Because frequent use and eventual discharge, they have been often detected wastewater from pharmaceutical factories hospitals, domestic wastewater, surface waters. The occurrence these aquatic ecosystems their effects on organisms poorly characterized. This review focuses the global major classes anticancer water sediments freshwater ecotoxicological at different biological levels. While availability data is fairly limited, concentrations most range < 2 ng/L 762 µg/L receiving water, while levels sludge vary 0.25 42.5 µg/kg. Their detection frequencies were 58%, 52% (78%) 59% hospital treatment plant effluents (influents) respectively. Predicted log Kow values vincristine, imatinib mesylate tamoxifen higher than 3 estimated half-lives>60 d waters using quantitative structure–activity relationship models, indicating high potential for persistence bioaccumulation. Based species sensitivity distribution evaluation 9 compounds, crustaceans sensitive drugs. hazardous compound cisplatin which has hazard concentration 5th percentile. For Daphnia magna, acute toxicities ranked as platinum complexes > endocrine therapy antibiotics antimetabolite alkylating agents. Using quotient analysis based primarily lowest observed effect (LOECs), cyclophosphamide, cisplatin, 5-fluorouracil, mesylate, bicalutamide, etoposide paclitaxel highest organisms. Further research needed identify appropriate chronic endpoints risk assessment thresholds well better understand mechanisms action multigenerational toxicity, trophic transfer ecosystems.

Ecotoxicological Risk Assessment of Pesticides in Aquatic Ecosystems
With the goal of providing food for the human race as well as having a stable food supply at present and in the future, agricultural chemicals (i.e. pesticides) are being disseminated as economically effective methods for preventing reduced yields in crops due to damage by insects and weeds. The pesticides are roughly divided from their targets into insecticides which include insect growth regu...
متن کاملthe effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)
cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Aquatic ecosystem assessment using exergy
The recent work is dedicated to the study of behaviour of exergy and structural exergy in physical models of aquatic ecosystems—mesocosms and microcosms and in Lake Baikal. The results of field experiments with mesocosms on Lake Baikal, containing natural plankton assemblage, and laboratory experiments with microcosms containing Daphnia magna and Chlorella vulgaris demonstrated decrease of the ...
متن کاملAssessment of aquatic environmental quality using gyrodactylus sp. as a living probe: parasitic biomonitoring of ecosystem health
Biological indicators are species that can be employed to monitor environmental quality and ecosystem health. Different groups of organisms such as plants, animals, bacteria and parasites regularly produce certain molecular signal in response to changes in their environmental milieu. Parasites are important tools for providing wealth of information on physicochemical quality, environmental stre...
متن کاملThe occurrence and risk assessment of aflatoxin M1 in Cheeses samples from Hamadan, Iran
Aflatoxin M1 (AFM1) is a category of poisonous compounds found in milk and dairy products. The target of our research is to determine incidence and risk assessment AFM1 through the consumption of cheese in Hamadan province of Iran. Seventy cheese samples including cream cheese (n = 30) and Iranian white cheese (n = 40) were collected from different regions of Hamadan province, Iran and tested f...
